Envirothon Sponsorship

The Florida Envirothon is an outdoor, hands-on competition and education program for high school students that promotes good stewardship of the land while giving students an awareness of environmental issues and human impacts. At Florida Envirothon competitions, which are held throughout the state, teams of five students each propose solutions ot environmental problems and compete for the highest cumulative score in the following areas: Aquatics, Forestry, Soils and Wildlife.

The St. Johns Soil & Water Conservation District would like to sponsor a team for the Florida Envirothon. If you are interested in forming a team, contact the St. Johns Soil & Water Conservation District Office at (386) 328-6522 ext. 3 for additional information.

Soil Stewardship Week

Soil Stewardship Week is celebrated each year in the last week in April thru the first week of May to emphasize the importance of good stewardship of our basic soil and water resources.

The St. Johns Soil & Water Conservation District honors Soil Stewardship Week each year by distributing conservation materials to the public to promote conservation awareness.
